Lead Pastor John Roberts and his wife, Sharlyn, moved to Moses Lake  from the Seattle area in October of 1989 to begin work with Moses Lake  Christian Church and have continued with the church until the present.

    John  and Sharlyn were married in June 1988 and have three sons:  Jonathan, Joshua, and Noah.

    John earned his BA from Puget Sound Christian College in Edmonds  WA, graduating in  June of 1988. His major is Theology with a minor in  preaching. John has continued his  education attending the Northwest  Graduate School of Ministry, Biola University, and Regent College. He
 earned an MA in Apologetics from Biola University in 2006.   John began a  two year journey with the Institute of Spiritual Formation in July 2013.

 

 

 

Pastor Johnny Roberts grew up in Eastern Oregon, near Vale, attending schools in Vale and Harper. He completed his senior year and graduated at Elgin, Oregon in 1957. He married Vida Perry April 29th 1961. They raised two sons, John and Dan, and two daughters, Dodie and Stacey. Vida passed away in 1997.

Johnny received his BA in Theological Studies from Puget Sound Christian College in June of 1988 and his MS in Ministry from Pepperdine in June of 1990. He pastored at Grandview Christian Church, Grandview, WA from 1990 - 1999. He then moved to Selah, WA where he pastored The Christian Church at Selah from 1999 – 2007. He came to the Moses Lake Christian Church January 1, 2007 where he serves as Pastor of Senior's Ministry and Pastoral Care.

 

 

     Phil Payne joined the MLCC staff in the summer of 2017 as Pastor of Leadership &  Ministry Development. Phil earned his BS in Missions/Intercultural Studies from San  Diego  Christian College and an MA in Executive Leadership from Liberty University.

    For the past 17 years Phil and his wife, Elizabeth,  have been working in Student  Ministry in Quito, Ecuador with International Teams/Youth World as well as developing a  study abroad program for college students called Living and Learning International.  Phil  will continue to split his time between ministry at MLCC and in Ecuador.  Phil and Elizabeth  have 4 grown children and 7 grandchildren. 

 

 

                                               

 

 


     Office Manager and Director of Connections, Dayna Jennings, has lived in Moses Lake  since 1984. She and her husband, Matt, raised their five children in Moses Lake and have  been attending Moses Lake Christian Church since 1999.

 Children's Ministry Director Natalie Morrish and her husband, Brian, moved to Moses Lake the      summer of 2016 from the Central Coast of California. Natalie and Brian have been married since    2013 and have one daughter, Sofia.

     Natalie has her BS in Education and holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Natalie    taught     Kindergarten the last 4 years near San Luis Obispo, CA. She is mostly at home with their  daughter   but is excited about serving in the Children's Ministry at MLCC. 

  Natalie is passionate about seeing children grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus, engaging    children in learning and seeing them get excited about Christ. 

 

 

 

 

 Ken Tjoelker joined the MLCC staff in the spring of 2017 to oversee the Maintenance of the facility and grounds.  Ken attended MLCC for years and when he married Kori in 2006 began attending the Presbyterian church in Moses Lake where her family has been involved for years.  Ken sold his farm and retired in 2015.
