Dale Mueller

Dale

Dale Mueller is a Havre, MT native who heard the call of the Lord to missionary service in 1982, after many years of teaching mathematics, statistics and computer science at the University of Puget Sound. He began full time missionary work in 1986 where he  first worked planting a church in a densely populated and poverty stricken area in a corner of Metro Manila, Philippines. In partnership with this church they have planted churches in a neglected area called Bicol on the southeast end of Luzon Island. In turn Dale works with these churches to reach out to mountain villages and isolated islands. During his years of planting churches in the Philippines, Dale has also frequently ministered to churches in China and Vietnam. Currently, in his retirement years, Dale continues to manage church building projects, teach leadership seminars and preach in churches in the Philippines and Vietnam. He is excited about helping two new ministries in Vietnam, Scripture Union, which develops indigenous Christian teaching materials for children, as well as training teachers and Nissi United which is producing indigenous Christian music and conducting evangelistic concerts for the youth of Vietnam. MLCC has supported Dale since the early 1990's.

AdriAnna Simmons
AdriAnna
Ephrata graduate, AdriAnna Simmons, is currently serving with Mekong Ministries in Chiang Rai, Thailand. This ministry is focused on facilitating church planting movements within unreached people groups all throughout the Mekong River Region of Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand. The ministry now has three teams in Chiang Rai who focus on the Lahu, Paluang, and Tai Lue people groups. The ministry uses story-telling as a primary way of sharing the gospel among these mainly illiterate people groups. Many within these people groups live in remote areas and conditions, with little access to materials from the outside world. Many have never even heard of the name of Jesus.

During AdriAnna's first visit to Thailand – which was simply a week-long vacation – she got the opportunity to visit the Mekong Ministry office through an unexpected change of plans. While she was there one of the leaders shared a video of them praying for someone who was under spiritual attack, and in that moment the Holy Spirit touched AdriAnna's heart as she felt called to come back and be a part of the team. Unsure of what this meant or what it would look like, AdriAnna returned home to finish her schooling and found her heart changed. She was seeking the Lord more than ever before and feeling called to return to serve in Chiang Rai. She made a second trip in January 2020, to visit the team and see if this was indeed the calling that God was putting on her life. During this vision trip, AdriAnna quickly realized how many people in this area were lost in deep rooted spirit and demon worship, having never heard of the joy and freedom that can be found in Christ. She has now made a long term commitment to serve in the Mekong region amongst these unreached people groups.

AdriAnna's long-term vision is to see a church planting movement ignited among another unreached people group in the Mekong Region. She is currently learning and studying language, bible stories, ministry strategy/practices, culture, and leadership skills; an this year has especially been given the role of Media Strategy Coordinator/Specialist. Her vision includes someday developing another team under Mekong Ministries to focus on another people group that has not yet heard the Good News of Jesus Christ. She is currently a part of the Tai Lue team, while starting to do research on the Tai Khuen people group (a close "cousin" of the TaiLue) along the way.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Romans 10:13-15
