Introduction

John 13:1-15

Jesus shows us just how far love goes.

Jesus shows us how far love goes.  Jesus reflects the heart of the Father into the world… and the father is love.

Jesus tells us, unequivocally, that what he values most in and from us is love.

Matthew 22:37-40

I Corinthians 13

Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love…”

The apostle John tells us that love is how we show God to the City of Man.

Questions for Reflection:

  1. Where are you failing at love… who are the people you are struggling to love? Whose feet do you really NOT want to wash?
  2. Are you drawing near enough to the Trinity (Father-Son-Holy Spirit) daily that you are being shaped into love? Or are you allowing the world and the news cycle to shape you?
  3. What is an opportunity that you have to love in your life right now that you might be missing?
  4. Can you identify one person in your life at present with whom you can share God’s love?
